A whole-home system covering 3-4 rooms starts from £3,995, where typical market quotes are £7,000-£8,000. All prices include supply, installation and VAT (0% on domestic installs).

Why are most air conditioning quotes so expensive?

A mix of high demand, limited installers, and frankly, generous margins. The equipment itself isn't the issue, a quality Daikin single-room system costs hundreds, not thousands. CoolSafe was founded specifically to offer honest fixed prices on the same equipment and certified installation.

Is it true there's no VAT on home air conditioning?

Yes, domestic air conditioning installations currently qualify for 0% VAT in the UK because modern units are air-source heat pumps, classed as energy-saving materials. Our prices already include this saving.

Does air conditioning also heat?

Yes. Every unit we install is a heat pump, it heats in winter as efficiently as it cools in summer, delivering 3-4kW of heat per 1kW of electricity. Many customers use theirs as the main heating in offices, conservatories and extensions.
